Getting to Plymouth
We recommend our wedding guests spend the weekend in Plymouth, which is about a one-hour drive from both the Boston and Providence airports. Here is some guidance if you are traveling into either Boston or Providence.
via Boston-Logan International Airport:
Driving:
The recommended method to get from the Boston area to Plymouth is driving. There are several routes down to Plymouth, and we recommend consulting Google Maps for the most efficient route when you arrive.
Rideshare:
Rideshare (Uber, Lyft) is an option, however this will likely be the most expensive way to get to Plymouth.
Public Transportation:
There is a Plymouth & Brockton bus that stops at all terminals at Logan airport and makes several stops along the South Shore all the way to Cape Cod. The Plymouth stop is an 8-minute drive from the Plymouth Waterfront, a 7-minute walk to the Hilton Garden Inn, and a 20-minute drive from The Lakehouse. This is a great option if you’re not looking to rent a car!
Bus cost is $26 each way for adults.
If you are interested in exploring the MBTA, or “The T”, there is a Silver Line bus (SL1) that stops at all the Logan Airport terminals and brings you to South Station in Boston. Once at South Station, you can take the Commuter Rail (Kingston Line) all the way to Kingston. The last stop on this train is about a 9-minute drive from the Plymouth Waterfront Area.
**Keep in mind, the commuter rail runs on a tight schedule. If you choose this option, we recommend downloading the MTicket app for the schedule and to purchase your tickets.**
via Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport in Warwick, RI:
Driving is the most efficient way to get from the Providence, RI area to Plymouth. We do not recommend taking public transportation.
Staying in Plymouth
The bride and groom, as well as their immediate families, will be staying in the Plymouth Waterfront area near Tavern on the Wharf.
Note that Plymouth is a popular Massachusetts vacation spot in the summer, so we highly recommend booking your accommodations early. Don't wait for your formal invitation if you already have received your save-the-date!
